True. But, to be fair, they can certainly pull off other tricks.
The DC Metro has plenty of security theater, but nothing that would
prevent a smart terrorist from killing a few hundred commuters.

That was appearantly a fairly straight theft of the Empire of the

Are there? I can't think of any since Hogan's _Inherit the Stars_
33 years ago (unless you count its sequels). And he had us evolve
elsewhere after our ancestors were transported from Earth, so it
barely counts.
